SISA is the student organization for the graduate students in the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education at SIUC. Students enrolled in the College Student Personnel program are members automatically, but any student with an interest in Student Affairs is welcome to join.

SISA is committed to: (1) enhancing the professional education of the membership outside of their classes, assistantships, and internships and to (2) providing a functioning voice in the determination of the terms and conditions in the process of graduate/doctoral student education within the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education at the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. In addition, SISA will:

• Represent the Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education on the Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC), SIUC, and in other professional arenas as appropriate.

• Provide social and professional networking outlets for its members.

• Contribute to the overall mission of the Division of student Affairs at SIUC, and to its commitment of serving students.
