Prior to admission to the Teacher Education Program:

  • Basic Skills Test (096)

Prior to student teaching:

  • Content Area Test(s) -check with your advisor if you have questions.

Prior to Certification:

  • Assessment of Professional Teaching Test (APT)

    • APT for Birth to Grade 3 (101)
      Type 04 Certification in Early Childhood

    • APT for Grades K-9 (102)
      Type 03 Certification in Elementary Education

    • APT for Grades 6-12 (103)
      Type 09 Certification in Secondary Education for the following majors:
      • Agricultural Education
      • Business, Marketing and Computer Education
      • English Language Arts
      • Family and Consumer Science
        (Apparel and Textiles, Living Environments, Nutrition, Wellness and Hospitality)
