The Counseling Program at SIUC is providing a Crisis Preparation and Response in the Schools workshop in Friday, February 5th. The Crisis Preparation and Response Workshop provides school counselors and community, mental health counselors with strategies to prepare for crisis in the schools and to effectively respond to crisis in the schools. Through the workshop, attendees create their own crisis preparation and response plan, specifically designed for the unique needs of their school and/or community. This workshop is beneficial to all counselors as many community/mental health counselors are vital components of the crisis preparation and response teams in communities.
