Welcome to the Counselor Education Program!
We are an energetic and excited group of students and faculty engaging in the
life-long process of professional development through research, teaching, clinical
supervision, clinical work, and service. At the Master's level, we are
committed to preparing ethical and culturally competent professional counselors
to provide high quality individual, group, and family counseling for adults,
adolescents, and children in a variety of settings including but not limited
to adolescent community mental health programs, college career services, community
mental health agencies, elementary and secondary schools, and substance abuse
programs. At the Doctoral level, we focus on developing ethical and culturally
competent future academicians, clinical supervisors, leaders, and clinicians
through an intensive and active educational agenda. Doctoral students conduct
and present research, learn to teach counseling core curricula, become excellent
clinical supervisors (individual, triadic, and group), and excellent clinicians.

The Counselor Education program offers three CACREP-accredited master's
degrees in Community Counseling, Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling, and
School Counseling. In addition, we offer a CACREP-accredited doctoral degree
in Counselor Education (Educational Psychology). Come learn with us!
